I am delighted to bring the "Meet My Monster" Creative Construction Workshop to the King's Daughters Public Library in Haverstraw. Drawing from the folklore and mystery in my book Where El Cucuy Lurks, this workshop invites children to transform their fears into friendship through the power of design. As a fashion industry veteran and author, I will guide young makers to use their imagination to build their very own "monsters." We will explore how texture, color, and shape can tell a story, grounding our creative play in the rich tradition of Mexican-American storytelling. This is a workshop where every child learns that they have the tools to construct something beautiful and brave.
